Welcome to the Joe Public FC web site - the home of the Eastern Lions!

In 2006, after three years voluntarily spent in the TTFF Super League, Joe Public won the TT Pro League title in its first season back among the pros, leading the field of ten clubs for most of the season. And so, the Lions began 2007 as the champions of professional football in Trinidad and Tobago. What are the club's ambitions this year?

Clearly, the intention is to retain the domestic professional championship title. Given the club's failures in the various Cup competitions last season, winning the professional FCB Cup, the Toyota Cup and the FA Cup are also high on the agenda. The major priority of 2007, however, is to regain the title of Caribbean Football Union Club Champion, which Joe Public has won on more than one previous occasion. The Lions are eagerly anticipating this tournament - the preliminary phase of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup - which would qualify the professional team to once again take the field against the Confederation's elite.

Of course, Joe Public FC is more than one team. The club also maintains a semi-professional team, which campaigns in the TT Super League; an amateur team, which plays in the Eastern Football Association of the TTFF; several junior teams - Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 20 - and a Women's team. This network of teams, including almost two hundred players and forty staff, underlines the size of the club, and its commitment to nurturing young talent and the overall development of the game in Trinidad and Tobago. Naturally, the objective of all these teams is to win titles, but equally to influence the lives of their members in a positive manner.

After the Soca Warriors' qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany and the National Under 17 Team's qualification for the 2007 FIFA Under 17 World Championship in South Korea, football in Trinidad and Tobago is more popular than ever. Joe Public FC intends to ride the crest of the wave - at home and in international competition.
